Starting July 6 through 14, Northern California Flute Camp is a one-week, intensive camp program, open to High School Students by audition. Apply online at www.flutecamp.com
Teaching at the Northern California Flute Camp is one of the most uplifting, inspiring and FUN things I have been doing every summer for nearly a decade. I work with an exceptional group of musicians who not only share their passion about music but also know how to translate it to a bunch of young aspiring flutists. All in a most Idyllic setting in the Carmel Valley. As well as performing on faculty recitals I teach unconventional classes like “How to be A Rockstar Flutist”, “Performing with Heart”, DEEP Listening. What is music really all about?” This year I will teach: “Being a Team Player – Camaraderie vs. Jealousy” and “Silence Speaks – what is the role of silence in Music Performance”.
We have a guest artist every year; a well-known orchestral or solo flutist. This year it’s our very own (DC) Principal Flutist of the National Symphony, Aaron Goldman!
